Pahang Travel - Getting to Pahang by Car

If you're coming from Kuala Lumpur, the easiest way to get to Kuantan, the capital of Pahang is to head towards the Karak Highway and keep on driving along the highway for about 2.5 - 3 hours. Along the way, you would be passing by exits such as Lancang (Exit 816), Temerloh (Exit 819), Chenor (Exit 821), Maran (Exit 825) and Gambang (exit 830) before finally reaching Kuantan (Exit 833).

If you're coming from Terengganu, the route to Kuantan is a fairly easy one. Just follow the coastal road from Cukai in Kemaman district all the way down to Kuantan.

If you're coming from Johor, there are two ways to get to Kuantan. You can either choose to travel along the federal road from Segamat or take the coastal road from Mersing. If you choose to take the federal road from Segamat, you will be passing by places like Patah Keladan and Muadzam Shah along the way. If you choose to take the coastal road from Mersing, you would be passing by places like Padang Endau, Tanjong Gemok, Lanjut, Nenasi and Pekan before finally reaching Kuantan.

All these places may sound foreign to you and you may be worried that you won't be able to find your way to Kuantan.
