Cameron Highlands was discovered in 1885 by English surveyor William Cameron, who was under a commission by the colonial government. Forging a path through dense vegetation, he reached a magnificent and sublime plateau ‘shut up in the mountains' along the vast Titiwangsa Range. Yet, the place lay unperturbed for 40 years, until British Administrator Sir George Maxwell took charge of its development as a hill station. Soon, hotels, schools, homes and even a golf course sprouted overnight, as British and locals settled in. Farmers and tea planters also streamed steadily into the valley, having found its soil to be fertile, and weather encouraging for crops.

Today, Cameron Highlands is the leading highland resort destination in the country, supporting a local population close to 50,000 people (mostly Chinese) spread over eight interconnecting areas. Far from rural, the main townships of Tanah Rata and Brinchang are highly developed with a wide range of facilities and services. Hotels, resorts, apartments and shopping blocks tower over the landscape, providing accommodation and leisure activities for its many visitors. Ringlet, Tringkap, Bertam Valley, Kuala Terla and Kampung Raja make up the rest of Cameron Highlands. These smaller towns and villages concentrate heavily on agricultural activities, consequently retaining most, if not some, of their pastoral feel and countryside atmosphere. Traces of Cameron's colonial history still remain, but consist mostly of European stone mansions that have been converted into boutique hotels.

Smart Girls Guide to Get Boyfriends Back, and Keep Them!

Expert Author Nick BR

The two of you had the talk! You know, the one where you decide once and for all that the relationship is NOT working. All you walk away with is an uneasy feeling, a healthy dose of anger and resentment and a feeling of panic. What will you do now? Is it really over? Is there anything you can do to get your boyfriends back? Most women, in this 'after break-up' phase make so many mistakes that it's a wonder they don't get picked up for stalking. So, why would smart women behave this way?

The answer is easy, fear and panic. Even though it isn't like you to be jealous or clingy, insecure or even defeated - you feel like you have to do something, anything - to take control of the situation and get your ex back. Partly you are right. Relationship experts do agree that there is a pretty small window of opportunity in which relationships can reconcile. However, if you cross this bridge to quickly, your actions come across as desperate and needy, which will only confirm your ex's motives for breaking up in the first place.

Smart women know that in order to get the ex boyfriend back, they need to take advantage of what is considered a cooling off period. For one thing, if you make motions to reconcile too quickly, the result will be pretty ugly. You will likely rehash old arguments or get so angry that you will say personal things just to hurt your ex. The reason you do this is because you feel like you have lost control, and that any communication is better than none at all. Plus, since you feel miserable about the break-up you will subconsciously try to make sure that he does as well. This is why the cooling off period is so important.

During this cooling off period, try to act as normal as possible. If you happen to see your ex, (or if he is a co-worker) put on your best face and be amicable at best. If you try to completely ignore (and work at it), you will come across as childish and bitter. But don't call or email, text, or send pictures of yourself to him during the cooling off period.

This is the time for you and for him to reflect! Plus, by taking advantage of a cooling off period you can learn to react and perhaps reconcile the relationship based on techniques that at the very least prove you're sane!

Another reason the cooling off period works so well for both of you, is because it gives him time to realize he misses you. If you are constantly annoying him, calling him, or picking fights - he doesn't get the time to experience the loss of you.

Most importantly, the experts say that when women react cool after a break-up, and don't become obsessive stalkers or resort to out of control emotions, men are actually IMMEDIATELY considering reconciliation. It isn't that they want you to behave like a crazy person, but they do rely on and expect you to be disparaged and hurt. When your not, and when you commit to the cooling off period - your chances of reconciling improve tenfold. Smart women know this.

No matter how hard it is to refrain from picking up the phone, from showing up at places where you know he will be, or sending him a text - DON'T!

Mutual Understanding: What Is It and What Is It Not?

Expert Author Doug Lassen Anderson

Ever felt an unexplained emotion for a certain person? An emotion that can't really be explained towards them though you are not in a love relationship with the person. I bet everyone have experienced such feeling. The feeling that brings tickles to the bones. Such feeling is called mutual understanding. It is an emotional state or an assumption, wherein two individuals feel fondness for each other, enjoy each other's company, inspire each other, please each other and share similar view points but has no real commitment for each other. The feeling may be unforeseen, anticipated and may be nurtured in the long run. It arises when an individual discovers common traits and interests with the other.

There exists a certain degree of affinity between two individuals which are in the state of mutual understanding. One gets to be correspondingly affected by anything that happens to the other. It is an affinity that none of these people would confirm probably because a bashful impression that exist between the two. Both may be reluctant to admit the feelings that they have for each other for fear and for several other reasons which may include the thought that one may grow uncomfortable with the other. Moreover, they would not even confirm their feelings with their friends or company when they are asked.

The involved individuals may or may not necessarily formalize their relationship. Some allow the feeling to nourish for some time until they see it appropriate to commit. It can wither away if the individuals get separated for some time or may lead to a deeper commitment. Individuals find this feeling titillating. Both are in for a surprise of what will happen next or where will the fondness of each other take them.

Surprisingly, mutual understanding does not necessarily entail love according to some psychologists. You may show care and sympathy to the person you are mutually connected but may not mean you are in love with each other. As such this can sometimes be the reason why the feeling is informal.

Furthermore, the concept does not only refer to a girl or a boy relationship. It can also be socio-political in nature to describe the relations of nations in the international community and the agreement of persons regarding decisions, policies and programs.

Regardless, people find the concept interesting and amazing when it is used to describe a boy and girl relationships.

How to Get a Guy to Kiss You: Here's How to Pull It Off

Well the simplest way of knowing if a guy likes you is kissing him, don't you think so? I mean if he kisses you back, you got it, it's over, you got what you wanted. Even if he does not kiss you back - he may need some more time. But how do you pull it off?

How do I pull it off? Do I have to kiss HIM?

You know, we are all under the influence of movies and cartoons and fairytales, and the stereotypical kind of age old task of the MAN is to take initiative and to kiss you... But who cares about that crap?! Life is not a fairytale, and you have to tae faith into your own hands. But this what I am offering is not a way for YOU to kiss him. No, with this, you will just signal him what he needs to do, and most of the time, he will, and then off course, you will KNOW if the guy likes you.

You do not want to rush this. BUT I am very afraid to write this, because YOU seem to do the opposite all the time - hesitate. See, in a developing relationship there are certain barriers which need to be broken. You cannot simply meet a guy and kiss him minutes within meeting him - I mean you can, but that is not gonna work in most cases. I'm afraid that you seem to kind of, linger and stagnate in one step, waiting for your man to take a step forward. So then you start to wonder if this guy actually likes you or not... And this anticipation is KILLING you, right?

Well let me show you how you can make this work

First of all, obviously, you have to hang out solo, to be on "a date", or alone in a social occasion. Spend some time with the guy. SMILE A LOT! Make him feel comfortable.

Please, girl, don't be nervous. He will feel it, and he will become nervous too.

So, smile a lot, remember that, make him feel relaxed in your presence. Now, here is a kind of *secret ingredient* - a thing which I usually used to do when I want to get touchy with someone.

Before you kiss, you have to be comfortable with each other TOUCHING. I really cannot stress how important this is. This is what separates friends from potential partners - the touching. I know, you may be touchy feely with your guy friends, but the vibe, the energy is TOTALLY different.

If you haven't touched yet - Don't Worry

As I sad, don't worry - Here is a simple method which I used to do which always worked. I have big hands for example, so to initiate contact, I always compared my hand to my date's hand size, palm on palm. Just spread your fingers out, and take his hand and put it on your slowly, and gently - remember, make him feel comfortable.

This is a fun thing to do, especially to initiate some physical contact. After this hugging, playful physical teasing, tickling - it will all feel natural and smooth.

Remember this - from touching palms, you can always advance to holding hands! Sneaky huh?

Moments of silence are your friends

Oh yes, remember those "awkward silence" moments, where nobody talks? Don't worry again, it's all natural. Actually this situation, IS THE PERFECT MOMENT FOR THE KISS.

Ok, so how do you pull I off in the end?

Simple.

1) Look him in the eyes

2) Look at his lips

3) Look at his eyes again + SMILE

4) Move in

And he will also move in and kiss you.

There you go. Sounds possible? Then try it. Let me know WHEN it worked:)

All the Best,

Mike

I Want My Boyfriend Back - What Do I Do?

Expert Author Cameron Collins

It has been two months since I broke up with my boyfriend. Still, at this point in time, I have not moved on yet. I want my boyfriend back, what do I do? As the days go by, I have this feeling that he is no longer coming back. And of course, given all this, I think that I can no longer live one more day without having him in my arms. I miss everything that we have shared with each other. I miss how he leaves messages and asks me what to do every minute of the day. I also miss the times when he takes care of me, and the feeling of someone caring for me is definitely something that I want back.

My girlfriends told me that I should not do anything. I will look so desperate and pathetic if I am the one to make the move. They say that if he is really meant for me, he will be the one to start by making the first move. Yet, since I used this technique, nothing has happened. I don't do anything. He doesn't do anything either. We end up not even minding each other's presence. I know that this is not going to work.

Well, eventually, I learned a new strategy. My friend told me that I should try always look my best. This means that I will be the girl that he missed. I also have to make him be aware of what he is missing if he does not come back to me. Hopefully, he will come back to me eventually and be the one to make the first move. I even drop message at times, since I want to make him feel that someone still cares for him. Though I keep everything subtle, I want to make it loud and shout out to him that I want him back. Yet, as they have said, it is better for me to be cool towards him for now. If I really want him back and he feels the same way, fate will surely lead us back.

Right now, I am really confused. I keep asking my friends,I want my boyfriend back, what do? Yet, none of them can give me any clear advice on the best possible move. As a result, I am stuck in a crappy position. I long for him, but I don't even know if this longing will ever stop. I just wait and pray he makes the first move. In the end, I think waiting and doing nothing will be the right move.

How To Get A Girlfriend - The 5 Things You Need to Know

Expert Author Eva Nepia Clamp

Hey we know its not easy for a lot of guys out there on the dating scene. The world is full of perfectly decent men who just can't seem to get a girlfriend. Men who deserve to get a girlfriend are shaking their heads and contemplating life in a monastery! Lord knows they've tried, and failed, numerous times to get the girl of their dreams... OK maybe just any girl... or they've frozen themselves into total inaction at the thought of approaching and being rejected by that strange species named 'Woman'.

Yes guys, women are somewhat complicated, difficult to read, hard to please, sometimes high maintenance... but god, don't you love em! The thing is, with the right knowledge, knowing the right techniques, all you guys who want to get a girlfriend but can't... CAN!

So, here's 5 crucial tips to get you thinking, and maybe a bit revved up and motivated to give it another try, and dive in to that great big beautiful world of women.

1. Before you even think about how to get a girlfriend or go looking for a girlfriend, you need to look at YOU. Give yourself a good hard, honest once over. Are you boyfriend material? Would you date you, the way you are? If you answered, truthfully, yes, then good for you, you are already girlfriend material, you can skip the rest of this! For the rest of you not quite so datable yet guys, here's some of the things about yourself you need to consider before finding that soon to be girlfriend.

2. Are you engaged with the world around you? You need to be. You need to be someone who takes a full and active part in stuff. It doesn't have to be a lot of stuff, but choose something you're interested in and become involved. No woman is interested in a guy who has a pathetic, empty life. They want someone who is enthusiastic about...something, anything... and has an opinion, something interesting to talk about and knows how to communicate with them.

3. It's also important for your sense of self-esteem, that you are engaged with the world around you, that you have a group of friends, life goals, an interest or hobby. Women are interested in men who have a good, positive sense of themselves and have a life that has some meaning. You won't be stuck for something to talk about with a potential girlfriend if your life is one that you enjoy living.

4. Ok, listen I'm not your mom, but hey, thought I'd better add this in - this is a biggie with women - Personal Hygiene Any decent, proper woman can't stand a guy who is not clean and tidy. Make sure you present yourself as well as you can. It cost a lot to have a reasonable haircut, wrinkle free clothes, a nice body odour etc.

5. Don't pretend to be someone you're not. Don't make out you're wealthy when you live from paycheck to paycheck, don't tell stories about all the amazing adventures you've had travelling the globe, when the truth is you've never left the country. A woman doesn't need to be impressed by a bunch of trying-to-impress-them stories. Women, good women, can be more impressed by the little but important things. Your caring attitude, the way you smile at her,do things for her, the healthy relationships you have with your family and friends.

So guys, if you are serious about getting a girlfriend, about learning how to get a girlfriend, or want to have a kick-A** dating life, just try to be yourself, work on ways to improve yourself, but keep it real, and make sure that the 'yourself' is a real, genuine, caring, engaged with your world, kind of guy.

What Are You Looking For in a Relationship?

What are you looking for from a relationship? Someone to take care of you? Just a good time? Are you willing to give from yourself, or is it all going to be coming from the other person? The answers to these and other questions will determine if you are successful finding a good relationship. Some people say each person needs to give 50% in a relationship for it to be successful. That is not true. Each person must give 100% for it to work.

What are you bringing to the relationship? Baggage from the past? Unforgiveness? If this is true, then you are making it harder to have a great relationship. All these things happen in people's lives, sometimes with a lot of hurt. But you don't have to keep carrying around the trash from each old relationship to the next one, if you let God help you.

If you were moving from one house to another, you normally wouldn't take the trash from your old home to the next one. Then why would you want to bring the trash from old relationships to your new one, and possibly make it fail because you didn't resolve the hurts and other things you experienced?

God loves you, and wants you to have good relationships. But unforgiveness and bitterness and other obstacles won't help you in the next relationship. It will build a wall between the two of you that may be insurmountable, and consequently provide failure to your hopes and dreams for a better life.

Ask God to help you identify what needs to be changed so you can have a good chance to be successful with that new person. Otherwise you are just setting yourself up for heartbreak and a lot of other bad things, that keep getting worse with each new relationship. Is that what you want for yourself and the ones you love?

Don't push getting into a relationship. When you are too eager you miss warning signs that need to be dealt with before you make a mistake. Listen to God, and obey what He tells you. He knows people's hearts much better than you do. He knows the best one for you, and He will show you if you ask. Read Proverbs 3:5-6, that is His promise to you.

If you look in the wrong places for someone, you will be sorry. For instance, if you look for that person in a bar, you are again setting yourself up for disaster: health issues, anger problems, just to name two. But if you don't care where you look and who you find, then you will keep having one heartbreak after another. And the sad part is you will probably blame the other person instead of yourself.

When you go to college, you are preparing yourself for a career or whatever your goals are. Shouldn't you take the same idea and work on yourself to make you the best you can be as you wait for the right person to come along? You should be preparing yourself to find that right person at the right time.

So, what are you looking for in a relationship? Are you just letting it happen or are you preparing yourself with God's help so you can be successful when you do find that special someone. If you are looking for the external things like sex, and whatever else, then you will be disappointed. Look for the beauty within that person you are dreaming about, that is the beauty that lasts a liftetime and doesn't fade with age. Get close to God and look for someone who is like-minided, then put Him first in your relationship. Let Him guide your relationship rather than your own wisdom. He will bless you greatly if you do this.

There is an old saying, "If you don't learn from history you are destined to repeat it". The same is true on a personal level with your relationships. If you don't learn from your mistakes from others you have been in, you are destined to repeat those same mistakes again and again until you get the message. Is that what you want for your life? I hope not. Commit your life to God and let Him work in you and your relationships. He won't disappoint you, if you make Him your first priority. (Matthew 6:33)

Factors To Consider When You Are Choosing Your Survival Supplies

By

There is an old hunter's axiom that any animal needs "food, water, and cover" to survive. The same can be said for us humans as well and with us you probably need to add clothing and gear to the list. Without those five items, your chances of surviving a crisis or disaster over a long period of time are probably non-existent! But, in addition to these five critical items, there are other factors that you need to be aware of and take into consideration in preparing for a crisis or disaster.

The first important factor is Length of Time. That is, how long will you need your survival supplies to last? The primary survival supply we are talking about here is food and water. If you look at the different survival checklists, the supply of food and water that they recommend you have on hand starts at a 3 day's supply and increases up to several months. This is one of those tough calls you will need to make yourself based on your personal situation and expectations but it would be prudent to err on the side of more rather than less.

The second important factor is Transportation. Are you planning to stay right where you are and try to "rude out" the crisis or are you planning to go someplace else temporarily until the crisis/disaster is over? This is an important factor and a very important decision for you to make. Not only are we talking about the means of transportation (car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle, handcart) but just as importantly, the amount of supplies that you will be able to carry with you. For example: You can take a lot more supplies with you when you are using a truck than you can when you will just be riding a bicycle.

The third and fourth important factors are Weather and Temperature. A disaster occurring in mid-winter presents a very different set of problems and concerns (e.g., need for additional warm clothing, more food) to you and your family than a disaster that occurs in mid-summer (e.g., more water).

The last special factor that you need to take into account I will just call "Special Needs". This factor is the special needs of you and your family. Maybe it is special medicine (e.g., blood pressure pills, pain medication) that you or someone in your family needs to take routinely. Maybe it is baby supplies (e.g., baby food, diapers, wet ones) that you will need for a new baby in the family. Or maybe it is a special food or medicine for your family pet that you want to take with you. Whatever it is, you need to make sure that you take this special need into account when you are obtaining and storing your survival supplies.

I hope this information is helpful to you as you begin your planning and preparation for dealing with a disaster or crisis. To see what survival supplies are recommended that you have in these situations, you will want to check out this survival supplies checklist.

How to Protect Yourself By Learning From The Mistakes Of Others

Are you serious about learning how to protect yourself - about defending against the kind of violence that you can't even imagine? Really?

I can understand why with all of the danger in this often unsafe world. But, are you learning all you can about the subject? Are you taking advantage of learning resources that may be all around you - resources that can teach you as much, if not more about how to defend yourself than most of the martial arts and self-defense programs out there?

What do I mean?

I'm talking about getting out of the dojo or self-defense class setting and doing a little research on actual attacks. I'm talking about taking the time to find out just what it's like inside a real attack, how you can be set up, and exactly what you'll have to deal with should you be caught in a bad situation.

I'm talking about making sure that you're not being mislead, or trained in techniques and methods that you're never going to be able to use during a real attack in today's world. My point in this article is about learning how to protect yourself by learning from the mistakes of others.

As an example, here is a story that actually involved one of the students in my online training program. I must warn you though, the description is graphic, so proceed at your own risk!

A few years ago in his hometown of Kingston, Jamaica he was leaving a night club early in the morning. As he tried unsuccessfully to wave a cab down he noticed a man waiting at a bus stop. The area was not well-lit and there were no other patrons on the street. He kept a close watch on the man as he approached and started asking for money. What my student didn't notice was that another man was there lurking in the dark. Apparently this was a set up and as a result he was robbed. The two men stood on each side of him sticking knives in his kidneys. Being caught off guard my student reluctantly did nothing.

The attackers got away with over a hundred dollars and his cell phone. My student, on the other hand, was left there - unconscious with the blood draining from his lifeless body.

Luckily... my friend was able to keep his life. He survived the assault to be able to tell others about it, and to seek out the right instruction to make sure that it would never happen again.

But, rather than dismiss this as another one of those mildly interesting stories that we will soon forget, or simply talk about with your friends... let's do something different. Let's use this personal experience, one lived though by someone else, in the same way that my student did.

Let's ask ourselves some of the same questions that he did. The difference is that you don't need to wait until you regain consciousness in the hospital after having your own kidneys cut to shreds!

So...

What could he have done? What could, would, or should you do... in the same type of situation?

Do you know?

Well... here are some considerations that you can not only think about, but also make sure that the strategic thinking that goes into these strategies and tactics...

...are a part of your training, instruction, and practice.

To start off with, he could have been more aware of his surroundings. He should have been looking around for an escape route or a possible weapon.

Remember... It was early in the morning. He could have known that buses were not running at that hour (in his hometown), therefore making the man standing at the bus stop suspicious.

When the man began to approach him, he could have verbalized in such a way as get him to stay away. And of course, instead of merely walking away only thinking about how to avoid a nuisance...

...he should have already been thinking of a way to defend himself.

That being said... what could you do to protect yourself effectively in this type of situation?

And, even though there are too many variables to guarantee any set response, here are some suggestions that would definitely increase your advantage and potential for survival:

1. Put distance between you & your assailant, by crossing the street

2. Use your voice to stop the man from approaching. Open your mouth and tell him simply "stay away"

3. Once there is the realization that there was more than one assailant, use effective and strategic posturing to position the first assailant as a shield against the second one. Remember... it's one thing to walk away, and something completely different to have missed the opportunity to be proactive and begin to control the situation before the attack has a chance to begin!

4. If you're serious about self-defense and really being able to protect yourself, after analyzing the situation and realizing you are at a disadvantage by being outnumbered and weaponless - avoid merely accepting your circumstance and giving in to your assailant. Fight back at all costs!

5. Learn from this experience, and any other scenarios that you hear about

6. Prepare, train and educate yourself for the next time - hoping, of course, that there never is a "next time."

One of the most important lessons taught in the martial art of ninjutsu, and any other solid, reality-based self-protection system - and one of the most powerful tools for self defense that you could ever develop - is the ability to think "strategically." Another is to learn to use everything as a tool for your defense and survival - even if that "thing" is the unfortunate attack on another human being!

Effective self defense requires more than just a few "karate moves." It involves the ability to think strategically, and understand how to defend yourself with as little wear-and-tear on you as possible.

If you really want to know what most people don't know about how to protect yourself, and how to survive a real street attack, start by reading the self defense ebook: "Fight Smarter - Not Harder!" It's available free at: http://www.warrior-concepts-online.com/street-fighting-self-defense-book.html.

Jeffrey M. Miller is an internationally-known self defense expert. Each month he teaches literally thousands of students through live seminars, corporate training events, and his online self defense courses, the lessons to be able to survive in Today's often dangerous world.

The Beginnings of Diabetes - How This Disease Is Caused

There are numerous theories in circulation about the origin of diabetes. According to one theory, diabetes dates back to the First century BC, when Aretaeus, the Greek Physician, named diabetes after the word, dia-bainein, which means "to siphon'. This description referred to excessive urination by persons affected by diabetes. It was identified as a disease related to 'sweet urine' and abnormal loss of muscles in the ancient period. Diabetes is now a common disease and millions are affected by what is popularly, known as "silent killer" all over the world.

Diabetes mellitus, commonly known as diabetes is a metabolic disease, which prevents the body from using sugar normally. The body gets its supply of sugar from food. Sugar, honey, milk, bread rice and most of the fruits are the main sources of sugar. The body converts sugar into glucose, which it requires for energy. Glucose in the blood is, normally, at a constant level. Blood sugar levels are, generally, closely monitored by insulin, a hormone produced by pancreas. When the blood glucose rises, for instance, after eating food, insulin is released from the pancreas to regulate glucose level. However, in case of diabetics the blood sugar levels are high because of malfunctioning of pancreas glands, leading to the absence or inadequate production of glucose. Elevated level of blood glucose (a condition, known as hyperglycemia) results in spillage of glucose into urine. The beginning of diabetes is detected through a variety of unrelated symptoms. These include, abnormal thirst, high frequency of urination, abnormal hunger, sudden loss of weight, unexplained tiredness, itching and tingling of feet and hands, weak vision and skin infections.

The causes of diabetes depend on the type of diabetes. There are two types of diabetes: Insulin Dependent or Juvenile Onset Diabetes (Type1) and Insulin-Independent or Adult Onset Diabetes (Type 2). In addition, there is another type, known as 'Gestational diabetes', which occurs during pregnancy. The metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats is altered in persons suffering from diabetes. The beta cells of the pancreas produce very little or no insulin in case of Type1 diabetics. In absence of sufficient insulin, glucose level increases in the blood stream, instead of going into the cells. The body is unable to utilize this glucose for energy even though there are high levels in the bloodstream, resulting in increased hunger. Besides, elevated level of glucose in the bloodstream makes a person to urinate more, which in turn causes excessive thirst. Within five to ten years after diagnosis, the insulin-producing beta cells of the pancreas are totally destroyed and no more insulin is produced. Type 1 diabetics, therefore, necessarily depend upon external sources for insulin, either through insulin injections or medication. In type 2 diabetes, there is a steady decrease of beta cells that contributes to high level of blood sugar. The causes of type 2 diabetes include inadequate production of insulin, either in absolute terms or in relation to the requirements of the body or inability of cells to use insulin effectively and efficiently resulting in hyperglycemia and diabetes. This condition generally affects muscle and fat tissues and leads to a condition, called, 'insulin resistance'. Type 2 diabetics mainly suffer from this condition. If someone is resistant to insulin, the body can, to some extent, increase production of insulin and overcome this resistance. However, if production of insulin decreases over a period and insulin cannot be released as before, hyperglycemia sets in.

Diabetes is a life-long disease and so far there is no cure for diabetes as such. However, with regular physical exercise, diet and proper medication, diabetes can be controlled and one can lead normal, active and healthy life.

Natural Treatment for Diabetes Cam Help to Improve Diabetics' Health

This article examines natural treatment for diabetes to keep this illness under control and possibly reverse it.

What is Diabetes?

The diabetes is a metabolic alteration which occurs when the glucose in the blood exceeds normal levels (hyperglycemia) causing a deficiency of insulin. The term "glycemic" refers to the glucose circulating in the blood with normal values ranging between 70 and 110 mg / dl. An increase in these baseline values above 120 mg / dl in three successive controls, is indicative of a diabetic condition.

There are two different forms of the disorder:i.e. insulin-dependent diabetes or Type I diabetes and non-insulin dependent or Type II diabetes. In the first case, we are faced with a disorder that affects individuals who are affected since a young age, and who show emission of copious amounts of urine, excessive thirst, weight loss and fatigue. The first manifestation of type I diabetes is called ketoacidosis, the clinical situation that occurs when, in the absence of insulin, the body begins to use massively fatty acids for energy and ends up by generating toxic products, the so called ketone bodies.

The type II diabetes, generally occurs after 40 years of age, especially in people with overweight problems. Non-insulin dependent diabetes develops slowly and is associated with resistance from the peripheral tissues to the action of the insulin hormone.

Nutrition for Diabetes The diet of a diabetic must be strictly with a low-glycemic index and should be based on an adequate intake of whole grains (either in grains and flakes, with the exclusion of rice, except basmati rice). The fibers are very good for diabetics, because they lower the fat in the blood and help to achieve a feeling of satiety: you can eat wheat, barley, oats, legumes and vegetables.

Avoid saturated fats such as butter, milk, eggs and fat meat, which clog the arteries. A good recommendation is to reduce the consumption of protein, salt, candy and to increase your intake of garlic, onions, leeks, scallions, lettuce, cruciferous vegetables, potatoes, avocados, seeds of Greek hay, lotus seeds, cinnamon, juniper berries, black pepper, alfalfa sprouts, ginger, coriander, lavender, lemon, marjoram sweet orange. Rosemary is useful to take control of blood glucose fluctuations.

Phytotherapy as a Natural Treatment for Diabetes

The herbal remedies are useful only for type II diabetes, since the type I diabetes requires insulin replacement therapy and herbal preparations may interfere with it. Together with a low sugar diet and regular physical activity, it is useful to use the Eucalyptus globosusMorus nigra (in the form of tincture, 20 drops, 3 times a day between meals), Vaccinium myrtillus (with the same doses of the previous remedy) and Juniperus communis (1 DH Gems, 40 drops 2 times a day, away from meals). Chamomile (Matricaria recutita L) is always appreciated for its soothing capabilities -Chamomile has anti-inflammatory, healing, antispasmodic, anti-allergic and antibacterial properties - It is mainly calming, but it can also be used to adjust the level of sugar in the blood.

Essential Oils

The essential oil of eucalyptus, which is extracted by steam distillation and has a yield estimated at around 1 liter of essence for 50 kg of leaves, is advisable. The essential oil of geranium is also excellent.

Homeopathy

The diabetes is fought with homeopathy through a comprehensive approach that also prevents complications. Among the homeopathic remedies there are:

  • Carboneum sulfaturum CH 7 (5 grains 1 to 3 times a day), sulfur carbon which is suitable for the treatment of diabetic polyneuropathy characterized byneuralgia, cramps, paresthesia and hypoesthesia;

  • Phosphoricum acidum 9 CH (5 grains per day), it is a treatment that should be reduced in relation to the improvements;

  • Phosphorus 9 CH (5 grains, 3 times a week), white phosphorus is a valuablecomplement to conventional therapies of diabetes.

Traditional Chinese Medicine In traditional Chinese medicine, diabetes is identified with the term xiaoke, which indicates a state of decay and thirst, and can be traced both to endogenous causes, such as hereditary factors, and to exogenous causes, such as a wrong diet. In all cases, diabetes causes an alteration of the functionality of the Lungs, Stomach and Kidneys. Chinese Medicine has identified some acupuncture points whose stimulation is useful for toning the Yin and controlling symptoms such as hunger, thirst, polyuria, weight loss and digestive disorders:

  • FEI SHU (located at 1.5 cun lateral to GV 1 to the side of the third thoracic vertebra spine apophysis), regulates lungs and clears Heat;
  • PI SHU (located at 1.5 cun lateral to GV 6, to the side of the eleventh thoracicvertebra spine apophysis), regulates the blood and is the main point for allSpleen problems;
  • SHEN SHU (1.5 cun lateral to GV 4 to the side of the second lumbar vertebraspine apophysis), regulates and tones the Kidneys;
  • ZU SAN LI (posterior and inferior to the external malleolus, directly below UB 60, lateral to the calcaneum at the junction of the red and white skin) thatregulates and tones the stomach and spleen;
  • GE SHU (1.5 cun lateral to GV 9, to the side of the seventh thoracic vertebra Mspine apophysisa), useful for all Blood related conditions

Exercise for Diabetes The movement is the first enemy of diabetes. Remember that it is essential to walk 30 minutes a day, during lunch, or to buy an exercise bike to use at home for an hour after returning from work and for those who get a chance, go to the gym, pool or park to play exercises consistently throughout the week.

Exercise is the best remedy for a widespread tendency to a sedentary lifestyle, which is the main cause of diabetes type II. To obtain more benefits you should bring the physical activity to 60 consecutive minutes, carried out with an average intensity exercise. Aerobic exercise (eg walking, cycling, swimming) should be supplemented by strength exercise (weight training exercises), along with exercises for flexibility. Exercise will transform intentions into actions and is an is an indispensable tool to begin to feel better, by removing the traditional sense of fatigue felt by people with diabetes.
