PERCUTIAN DI JANDA BAIK
How to get here?
A mountainside of dramatic peaks, valleys and ravines ranging from 1500 to 4500 feet above sea level, laced together with picturesque streams and waterfalls. For a holiday with a difference, try this secluded green enclave. For KL residents the place is easily accessible and driving is a breeze via the Karak Highway.
Janda Baik is a village town in Pahang, Malaysia. Geographically located in the state of Pahang, Malaysia(03 31N Longitude 101 55 E). A simple Malay kampong or village with a population of approximately 1000 people. Janda Baik is set amidst a small valley bounded by thick rainforest with cool rushing brooks and waterfalls. Located approximately 45km and about an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur, the place is a popular holiday and recreational destination for city folks. Ensconced somewhere between the towering hills of Genting Highlands and the Berjaya Hills resort, it is no surprise that the climate here is much cooler at between 23° and 28°Celsius during the day and below 22°Celsius in the evenings.
"Janda Baik" means "the good widow" in Malay. As the story is told by local folks, in the old days a path that connects Selangor and Pahang beats its way through the village. It was said that a mercenary, who was returning after fighting in a civil war in Selangor stopped at the village for a rest and to nurse some wounds he had sustained in battle. Upon seeing this ragtag team in the vicinity, a kindly widow immediately offered help and tended to the mercenary's wounds. The man was thankful and deeply cherished the kindness. As a mark of respect for this kind widow, the leader of the warrior pack would always advise his men to call on the woman whenever they were in the vicinity.
Fast forward to the present:
Today, almost all the resorts and camps in Janda Baik offer motivational courses, as well as various obstacle challenges such as the ever popular jungle trekking, flying fox and abseiling. Camping grounds are available.
Janda Baik's serene & peaceful environment promises you a peaceful getaway from the hustle & bustle of city life. It's simply a better place to relax not far from the comforts of home.
Peta Janda baik
Directions Janda Baik is just 45 kilometers North of Kuala Lumpur and 1/2 hr drive from kl via Gombak-Karak Highway. After the first tunnel turn left, make a U-turn and turn left after petrol station PETRONAS and MCDONALD. On that left turn, all the way in and there will be a junction and a 'Welcoming Arch', turn right. From here, it is the main access to Janda Baik. There are signboards along the roads. Along the journey, you will see TanaRimba and Electricsola Factory on your right side. After the factory, either turning left at the T-junction at the Janda Baik's surau (mosque)which is located on the left side of the road or just keep on going straight in, it will somehow, takes you to the main Kg. Janda Baik.
KISAH JANDA BAIK
Diceritakan oleh orang-orang tua, para ilmuan alam ghaib dan alam nyata.......
Pangkal bermula alkisah Janda Baik
Mencantumi dua alam
Alam ghaib beriwayat
Alam nyata dengan dahlil-dahlat
Dua makhluk berpasangan
Turun menjelma dari kayangan
Menzahir diri di alam nyata
Bukit bukau gunung ganang
Sungai tasik hutan belantara
Pelbagai cubaan pelbagai rintangan
Sepasang insan terus mengembara
Mencari ketenangan
Hinggalah sampai di satu lembah
Bumi terhampar di tengah belantara
Bukit di Selatan, bukit di Utara
Dua sungai mengalir di tepi desa
Di celah bukit taman terindah
Dipenuhi anggerik desa
Bunganya kuning diraja
Di sinilah penghujung jalan pengembara
Taman Anggerik Si Desa Kuning
Itulah nama yang diberi
Di sinilah menetap suami isteri
Sebagai manusia di muka bumi
Mengguna nama Khatijah dan Al Bukhari
Alkisah diriwayatkan para ilmuan alam ghaib........
Khatijah dari Utara
Bukhari dari Selatan
Bertemu jodoh di Barat
Di Timur berpasangan
Bertahun mereka bersama
Setiap saat berdoa
Agar dikurniakan cahayamata
Zuriat penyambung warisan
Sudah tersirat Khatijah dan Al Bukhari
Sepasang makhluk suami isteri
Tiada putera, tiada puteri
Allah yang maha mengtahui
Khatijah dan Al Bukhari terima hakikat
Lalu berdua bermuafakat
Turun ke bumi membawa hajat
Menabur bakti kepada sejagat
Hatta, Khatijah dan Al Bukhari sebagai insan biasa.....
Di Taman Anggerik Si Desa Kuning
Udara nyaman, suasana hening
Disinilah tempatnya Khatijah dan Al Bukhari
Saling sayang menyayangi
Tinggal di bumi menabur bakti
Anak-anak yatim Melayu dan Asli
Dijaga diasuh bak anak sendiri
Siang hari Al Bukhari ke hutan mencari kayu api
Sumber rezeki
Di malam hari mengajar agama Ilahi
Masa lapang dipenuhi doa, zikir berzanji
Itulah aktiviti setiap hari
Mencari restu Ilahi
Bertahun tahun dua jelmawan dari kayangan
Khatijah dan Al Bukhari
Tinggal di Taman Anggerik Si Desa Kuning
Hidup gembira penuh kasih sayang
Hormat menghormati
Susah sama dirasai
Senang sama dinikmati
Mendidik yatim piatu pengganti anak sendiri
Suatu hari Al Bukhari jatuh sakit
Mulanya demam-demam, batuk-batuk
Kemudian melarat lemah lunglai seluruh anggota
Hilang nafsu makan minum
Hilang keinginan berkata-kata
Tetapi hati kuat berdoa
Memohon keredzaan Yang Esa
Dirasainya masa hampir tiba
Iakan pulang ke Maha Pencipta
Khatijah berwajah hiba
Bergelora jiwa menahan airmata
Bibir tersenyum melindungi seribu perasaan
Anak-anaknya berkeliling membaca ayat-ayat Quraan
Memudahkan perjalanan ayahnda tersayang
Kepada Khatijah Al Bukhari berpesan.....
Kanda akan pergi mendahului adinda
Jagalah dan didiklah anak-anak kita
Hingga menjadi insan mulia
Penuhkan dada mereka dengan pengtahuan agama
Akhlak mulia, tertib cara, bersopan hahasa
Tabahlah hati adinda, berdoalah sentiasa
Allah bersama adinda
Al Bukhari memejam mata
Mengucap dua kalimah syahadat
Tangannya mengemas tangan Khatijah....
Khatijah terima cabaran
Hidup sebagai seorang janda
Di tengah hutan belantara
Tabah hati cekal setia
Menetapi pesanan arwah kekanda
Razki berada di mana sahaja
Khatijah bersyukur dengan apa yang ada
Allah tetap bersama
Khatijah berhati mulia
Sentiasa sedia membantu
Siapa saja yang memerlu
Anak-anak turut bersama
Menghadiah tenaga meringan kerja
Anak-anak jagaan kian membesar
Akhlak mulia kian menyerlah
Iman di dada kian terpahat
Tutur bicara kian beradat
Khatijah bersyukur pada Ilahi
Janji kepada arwah suami dipenuhi
Suatu hari Khatijah berpesan kepada anak-anaknya....
Kamu semua sudah cukup dewasa
Kuatkan iman mu
Tolong yang berkehendak
Tabur bakti kepada masyarakat
Sentiasa tolong menolong antara kamu
Ingatlah.
Tuhan sentiasa bersama mu
Khatijah tenung setiap orang
Sambil bibir mengukir salam
Terus keluar ke taman
Pulang ke kayangan.....
Kini gelaran jadi sebutan....
Taman Anggerik Si Desa Kuning
Tempat tinggal Khatijah dan Al Bukhari
Dari kayangan turun ke bumi
Sebagai insan pekerti
Disanjung, dihormati, disegani
Nama Khatijah merbak wangi
Sebagai janda baik berjiwa murni
Sebagai janda baik pekerti
Sebagai janda baik berhati mulia
Sebagai janda baik tertib bahasa
Taman Anggerik Si Desa Kuning
Namanya lenyap bersama Khatijah
Yang tinggal hanya gelaran
JANDA BAIK jadi sebutan
Nota: Mengikut beberapa ahli tilik dan para ilmuan alam ghaib, tempat asal Taman Anggerik Si Desa Kuning ialah dalam kawasan yang kini bernama Sailor.s Rest. Wallahu allam.
Activities
Riverside Janda Baik offers a lot of fun for the Family, people come here just to enjoy their weekends in a relaxing environment near the clear and fresh river water. Listening to the flow of water is also a theraphy for relaxing the mind.
The main thing not to be missed is swimming in the stream, although the waters are shallow but you could build a dam from the river stones. It is fun, i promise but requires a lot of energy. Swimming could be done at all parts of Kampung Janda Baik, the one at Riverside Janda Baik is of courts on private property but there are parts accessible to the public.
Sometimes you can also see monkeys at the river banks - appreciate being in the midst of nature - concentrate on the sound of water, crickets and sometimes monkeys and birds.
Here are a few activities you can do in Riverside Janda Baik.
Barbeque
Picnic
Camping
Fishing
Rubber Tube Rafting
Jungle Trekking
Cycling (coming soon)
Swimming in the River

Malaysian Railway Network
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) or Malayan Railways Limited is the main rail operator in Peninsular Malaysia. The railway system dates back to the British colonial era, when it was first built to transport tin. The mainly single-track railway network with a total length of 1699 kilometres consists of two main lines, the West Coast Line and the East Coast Line and several branch lines.
KTM Intercity (Malay: KTM Antarabandar) is an intercity passenger railway service operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu within the regions of Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore. The service is intended to carry patrons between stops serving cities, town and village (depending on regions), its trains currently powered by diesel locomotives.
KTM Intercity services consist of local trains (known also as "mail trains") and express trains; lines along the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia currently support mostly express trains, while those along the East Coast include both mail train and express train services.
